I’m Vikram Joshi—an author, dirtrider, climber, and lifelong explorer. This site is where I share my photographs, essays, and ideas shaped by decades of experience in technology and the outdoors. Through images and words, I capture light, stories, and perspectives that explore balance, power, and purpose. Here you’ll find selections from my photography, writings, and ongoing book project. From climbing granite walls in Yosemite to building technology in Silicon Valley, my journey has always been about pushing limits. The World I See

I have quite an assortment of cameras, from my dad's 1935 pre-WWII 120 film box camera (a Bilora), to Leicas, Canons, and a large assortment of lenses. But my go-to is my iPhone. The images are high quality, and while I do miss some of the fancy features like spot metering, I'm always prepared to capture the moment. This works especially well for street photography, which I'm starting to get into, and where I'm increasingly focused on the magic of life in the city.

My style is defined by existing light and a simple workflow. My darkroom days taught me to value efficiency, and I limit my post-processing to a quick crop or a depth-of-field adjustment for portraits. This keeps my tool chain lean and lets me focus on the moment.
